Beau Thai ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Denver, CO
Vegan Thai Yellow Curry
A bow tie means you’re confident and thoughtful, kind of like this restaurant! According to their Facebook page, Beau Thai motto is Authentic Thai cuisine with the ambiance and service of a fine dining experience, designed and priced for all to enjoy!
They are not a vegan restaurant but many of their items can be made vegan and/or gluten-free. I chose the Yellow Curry that is made with tofu, coconut milk, bell peppers, white onions, potatoes, carrots and pineapple. This is a great warm and cozy dish especially when it’s cold outside.
The yellow curry was super creamy and delicious! I picked a medium-high spice which was pretty spicy. The sweetness from the pineapple cut the spice significantly. They did offer a hefty size serving of tofu which bumped up the protein amount considerably.
They use only fresh ingredients with sauces. No additives or preservatives (except maybe in their soy sauce), which is a big plus!
I wish they offered at least one type of darker color, whole grain rice. They only offer white rice, which I know is authentic, but it would be a nice to have a healthier alternative. They could also add some red bell peppers to make it a little bit colorful.
I would give the salad a 4.5 out of 5 stars!
