“HOLIDAY” RESTAURANT REVIEW
Watercourse Foods ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Denver, CO
HOLIDAY MENU
Watercourse is one of the original vegetarian restaurants in Denver. It opened in 1998. Several years ago a new owner took over and they went fully vegan. Hooray!
Their holiday menu is divine and filled with some of the traditional foods you would find at a holiday table. For mains, they offer a seitan roast or pot pie. For sides they offer vegan garlic parmesan mashed potatoes with gravy and mac n cheese. For dessert they offer mini pies including the traditional pecan, pumpkin and silk pies. They even offer drinks like spiked nog, eggless nog and for a healthier option a spiked blackberry ginger punch.
I’ve had their pot pies in the past and they are delicious! Although more nutritionally sound than their meat counterparts, these meals are geared more for comfort over nutrition.
The good news is that all of their food is homemade and it often contains locally sourced and/or organic ingredients. They do not use any artificial additives or preservatives, which is a big win in my book.
Watercourse was so named because it means to “take the path of least harm.”
My only critique of their holiday menu is that I wished they offered a full meal option per person instead of having to buy bits and pieces to compile your own.
I would give the salad a 4.5 out of 5 stars!
